The Red Raiders are 7-5 and have the nation's 12th best offense, averaging a whopping 501 yards of offense per game. So yeah, this one won't be easy, which you probably already knew if you read Matt's latest Models and Bottles post from last week which gives the Gophers just a 7.9% of victory. That's long odds, but with a month to prepare, you never know. In that month, it'll give everyone a chance to heal, and during those 15 extra practices they'll hopefully get the offense figured out and come up with a game plan to slow down Tech's offense.
Congratulations to the team for getting to a bowl game (especially one not located in Detroit) and this will hopefully be the first of many at Minnesota for Jerry Kill and his staff.
