Andre McDonald Will Not Participate in Gopher Bowl Game

This has been rumored or at least kept under wraps for over a week now, but Andre McDonald has not been practicing and will not participate in the Gopher bowl game on Friday.

Minnesota head coach Jerry Kill announced today that freshman wide receiver Andre McDonald will not participate in the 2012 Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas because of a violation of team policy.

This could go one of two ways. I fear that this could quickly go south and we may not see McDonald in a Gopher uniform again (see A.J. Barker). Or he could straighten out whatever it is he needs to get straightened out and come back to the team a better man (see Michael Carter).

Looking forward to seeing #12 back on the field this spring.
