After weeks of holding their cards tightly, the Gophers are ready to go all-in against the UNLV Running Rebels tonight. After finishing last season playing better and even winning a couple games, I think most Gopher fans are anxious to see which questions have been answered. Let's take a quick look at some of the questions for tonight's game.

1 - Can the Gophers out run the Running Rebels? Minnesota desperately needs to improve it's ground game and conversely this is the strength of UNLV's offense. I want to know if the combination of James Gillum and Donnell Kirkwood can outgain the Rebs tonight.

2 - Will MarQueis Gray shine in the bright lights of Vegas? - Outside of Minnesota I think people recognize that he is pretty good but can he start to distinguish himself as more than that?

3 - UNLV's passing game isn't to be feared, but can our pass defense show show improvement from last year? - With a brand new quarterback and with a reliable rushing attack, I don't expect UNLV to throw the ball all over the field. But they will pass and I'm anxious to see how our pass defense slows down their aerial attack.

Prediction: Gophers win and while it isn't a blowout, they will win without having to sweat a final drive.
