-
What you should know: They like to throw the ball. 402 yards last week against Eastern Illinois.
-
One more thing to know: We have had head-to-head recruiting battles with Western Michigan, more than probably any other school. This game will be huge in recruiting (#sarcasm).
- Yet another thing I feel is worth sharing: Western Michigan plays their home football games at Waldo Stadium. Now you know where Waldo is.
Coaches and Players
-
Head Coach: Bill Cubit (2005-present)
-
Key Offensive Players: QB-Alex Carder is a third year starter who led the MAC in passing last season, and has led the league in passing touchdown the last two seasons. Carder struggled a bit against Illinois which may be due to adjusting to a new offensive line and wide receivers. But he racked up a ton of yards in game 2, this should be a very good test for our secondary.
- Key Defensive Players: Johnnie Simon is a JR safety/linebacker who earned 2nd team All-MAC honors last season. He led the team in tackles at Illinois with 18 in week 1.
