Gopher Basketball to Host “Raise the Barn – First Look Scrimmage”

Anyone interested in getting a first look at Richard Pitino and the 2013-14 Golden Gophers?  You will have such an opportunity on Friday, October 18th.

The University of Minnesota men's basketball program is opening the doors of Williams Arena to the public on Oct. 18 for what will be the first official showing of the 2013-14 Golden Gophers. The "Raise the Barn - First Look Scrimmage", which will be in the format of an actual game, will begin at approximately 7:00 p.m. The Williams Arena doors will open at 6:00 p.m. in preparation for the scrimmage.

Considering there are a lot of questions about this year's team, I am thrilled to have this opportunity to get a look at the roster that includes Malik Smith, Drew Mattheiu, Joey King, a slimmer Maurice Walker and of course a new brand of basketball.

This is going to be fun.
