The Gophers third game of the year and this one is also not available on TV anywhere.

This trip to Richmond should be a decent early challenge for the Gophers. Outside of the Maui Invitational and the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, this is the Gophers most challenging non-conference opponent and it is on the road. We should continue to learn more about this squad after today.

Pos. Minnesota Golden Gophers Pnt/Gm Pnt/Gm Richmond Spiders Pos.
PG Dre Mattieu 8.5 17.5 Cedrick Lindsay PG
G Andre Hollins 21.0 5.5 Wayne Sparrow G
G Austin Hollins 11.0 8.5 Alonzo Nelson-Oboda F
F Oto Osenieks 8.5 5.0 Derrick Williams F
F Elliott Eliason 8.5 13.5 Terry Allen F
Bench Malik Smith 4.5 11.5 Kendall Anthony Bench
Bench Joey King 14.5 6.0 Trey Davis Bench
Bench Maverick Ahanmisi 3.0 1.0 Deion Taylor Bench

Richmond is typically a solid mid-major in a good A-10 conference. The Spiders are 2-0 with wins over Belmont and Deleware (both tougher opponents than the Gophers have faced). Getting a Big Ten team down to Richmond is a fairly big deal and I'm sure the student body will be out in full force to cheer on their Spiders.
