College Football Week 8 How To Watch: TV Schedule, Game Times, Channel Listing

Because you can never have too much college football.

Spruce Derden-USA TODAY Sports

Does it bother anyone else that it's already Week 8 of the college football season? This fall has been flying by much too quickly and I'm already fearing the first Saturday when I can't gorge on college football games all day. Thankfully that day is not yet here, and we still have plenty of viewing options. Week 8 isn't as jam packed with top match ups as the past 2 weekends, but that would be hard to do. Let's break it down...

Obviously during the 11am timeslot your attention will be on Purdue at Minnesota on BTN. But if you're looking for a game to flip to during commercials, I'd recommend Kansas State at Oklahoma on ESPN. Also, I'd like to extend my deepest sympathies to wildcat00 for the hassle this timeslot is causing. By far, KState/OU is the best early game. However, if you're a fan of high powered offense and lots of points, I would also suggest you consider Baylor at West Virginia on Fox Sports 1.

The first feature game of the afternoon is Texas A&M at Alabama. Although to be honest, I really have no desire to watch either team play while Gary Danielson prattles on in the background (2:30PM, CBS). I'd recommend watching something else before you settle in for Okie State at TCU on Fox Sports 1 (3PM). After that you've got MSU/Indiana (2:30, ESPN) or Georgia/Arkansas (3PM, SECN). Maybe Indiana will make that interesting?

Night games? Well I only see 3. Nebraska heads to Northwestern and I'm sure you've all got your reasons for caring about that one (6:30PM, BTN). Notre Dame at FSU is the big headliner for the night on ABC (7PM). And if you like staying up late, be sure to check in on Stanford at Arizona State on ESPN. These 9:30 PAC-12 games have been exciting recently.
