Another piece of the puzzle for Richard Pitino and Gopher Basketball recruiting has officially signed his letter of intent. The four-star point guard from Maryland committed to the Gophers back in mid-July giving Richard Pitino his first verbal of the class and his first four-star recruit.
#Gophers men's basketball officially announces recruiting class: Kevin Dorsey, Jarvis Johnson, Dupree McBrayer and Johnathan Nwankwo.

Gopher Basketball Recruiting
Gopher Basketball Recruiting
A talented offensive player who is potentially a dominant defensive guy. I am very excited to see Dorsey and Jarvis Johnson together after a year or two of maturation and getting to know each other a little.
Height: 6'0"
Position: PG
Stars: 4
Ranking: Rivals #86 overall
Other Significant Offers: Auburn, Seton Hall, St. Johns
ESPN Eval: "Consummate energy giver from the point guard position. He's always in motion and makes a point to be an aggressive one on one defender. Should be able to impact defensively. Quick as they come and he's long-armed so he's unique at the point. Quick to the point where he's effortless and almost glides to different spots."
Dorsey is the highest ranked member of this 2015 class. A kid with some defensive toughness and an offensive game too. I have visions of Al Nolen with a jumpshot and ability to finish at the rim. Absolutely love the backcourt recruits in this class and Dorsey is a huge reason why.
Amelia Rayno's comments on Dorsey:
Pitino's most highly rated recruit at Minnesota, the lightning-fast 5-11 point guard turned down his home-state Maryland and Nebraska. Dorsey, a four-star recruit who is ranked 86th overall in the class, should be able to step in immediately. With his speed and long wing span, he has the potential to be a difference-maker defensively.
