Gopher Basketball is BACK! I LOVE college basketball season and am thrilled that year two of the Richard Pitino led Gophers is tipping off tonight against an elite opponent!

Keys to a Gopher Win

Limited Turnovers -
Louisville will press us and defend all night long with pretty good pressure. Our senior guards will need to set the tone for the backcourt with composure.

Maroon_key_medium Making Threes- I think we stand our best chance of winning tonight if we are able to make threes with a relatively high percentage. Getting into the lane is always great and we might have a nice opportunity to score in the post, especially when Walker is in. But if Hollins and Morris and McNeil and Mason are hitting from deep then everything becomes easier for us.

Maroon_key_medium Rebound - Duh, this is kind of important all the time but when you are facing a rebounding beast like Harrell, you need to be diligent about it. We have some nice interior depth but we need to have everybody boxing out and finishing possessions. We just cannot afford to give up extra scoring opportunities against a talented team like Louisville.
