THE FACTS: The Gophers scheduled a Division II team and they took care of business from the opening tip till the final second. Minnesota used a huge run early to open up a sizeable lead and from that point on it was never in doubt as the Gophers cruised to a 109-57 win over Franklin Pierce.
Buggs with a 3 from the right corner makes the run 23 unanswered. #Gophers 29, FPU 5

QUOTABLE: Most of the Gophers were rather thrilled for the performance by walk-on, Kendal Shell. Andre Hollins had this to say, "Kendal man, he had a great game, it was good to see him out there getting shots off. Ya, we work on every game individual work outs so I mean it is routine for him really. He hit a nice move on the baseline with a step right jumper, I mean it was fun for him."
THE STAT: Three-point shooting was a pretty stark difference tonight. The Golden Gophers made 11 of 15 attempts (73%) while Franklin Pierce shot just 7/27 (26%).
TURNING POINT: Tip off.
BAD MOVE: Scheduling a DII opponent.
NOTABLE: The team had 28 assists on the game. Very nice execution of the offense and sharing the ball.
