Opening Thoughts
I considered writing "Minnesota Scores Again" and dropping the mic, but I figured that might be tempting fate. Things are getting weird in Gopherville. DK5 is right, we really should start believing. But we all know why that's hard to do on a week to week basis. Matt's model is encouraging, but the #FACTS about Nebraska at home are a shot of cold water. Then again, TROPHY.
For my part? I've been in Lincoln for 4 hours and enjoyed my first beverage before noon CST. I'm sitting in Barry's and it feels like home (this is the place ggo5 introduced to hockey back in 2012). What I'm saying is that there is a lot of enjoy and we should embrace that. To the gnomes!
Gnome #TAKES
The one, the only, the original Gopher gnome. If WHEN the Gophers win tomorrow, it will be thanks to David Cobb. Gopher gnome would like to set the stage for what he wants to see all day at Memorial Stadium:
See it, believe it, make it happen.

The Enemy
Where Are They From?
Lincoln, Nebraska
Yes, that's a live shot from before this preview was being written at Barry's Husker Bar.
All Time Series: Minnesota leads 30-22-2.
Last Season: 9-4 (5-3). Four losses? But of course!
2014 To Date: 8-2 (4-2). The pitchforks are out. Seriously, check the comments at Corn Nation.
Head Coach: Still Bo Pelini (for now). 7th season, 66-26 (38-16 B1G). Either set for life or about to get fired depending on who you talk to. Seriously, people are pissed about the Wisconsin loss.
Players To Watch:
Seriously, battery dying. Tommy Armstrong Jr. is the Husker Leidner. Ameer Abdullah is hurt. The linebackers are ghosts. I'm hoping for arm punts, not more injuries for Ameer, and David Cobb romping into the secondary.
Keys To The Game
- Be able to pass the ball: Please Mitch, I want this one.
- No turnovers: We're on the road, no getting into a turnover based hole.
- Have fun: Win out and go to Indy. What's more fun that that?
How Afraid Am I?
On a scale of 1 to 5 "Brewsters on his face" (1 being not a afraid, 5 being very afraid)?
3 Brews.
I'm having fun already, but I do want this win.
Completely Worthless Prediction
FULL HOMER ALERT. Gophers 27, Huskers 24.
