The Gophers blew an opportunity to get a nice win last night and move on to the Preseason NIT Championship Game, but instead will face Georgia for a Thanksgiving afternoon tilt. The Bulldogs got down early to Gonzaga, taking a 13-point hole into halftime, and couldn't climb out of it losing 88-76.

Georgia is a middle to upper-middle SEC team and they have a number of weapons with four starters averaging over 12 points per game. Last night it was Mann who led them with 23 points and the kid got to the line 15 times. Against Florida Atlantic it was Thornton who carried them a little with 17 points and 12 boards. In their season opener against Georgia Tech, they were led by Djurisic. This will be a very different team to defend than last night's opponent and it should have a different pace to the game.

Get your turkey eaten then sit down and enjoy what I think is going to be a Golden Gopher win.
