Its Monday which means you only have 5 more days of #HATEWEEK part 1 left. So make the most of it people. We will have the usual nugs, with some extra special ones at the bottom:
Football:
Joe Christensen has a great article in the Star Tribune on Sunday with a great photo gallery of a Gopher Road Trip. Great look at pre-game from liftoff to kick-off.
Marcus Fuller tweeted out some Official Visit news:
Future #Gophers QB Demry Croft to attend the Ohio State game at TCF @PrinceOfThe66: Official visit is set for 11/15 #Minnesota #Ski-U-Mah

Obviously with the Gophers not playing No Big Ten Awards this week...but one Gopher picked up an award:

Have you heard it's HATEWEEK?? Several of the current and former Gopher Players have:
WHO HATES IOWA?!?! #bigweek #BringHomeTheBacon #Gophers
— MarQueis Gray (@MarQueisG) November 2, 2014
I have committed to eat bacon EVERY DAY this week in honor of Floyd of Rosedale. Join me, and help bring home the #Bacon. @fueling_gophers

In case you missed it, the Gopher game was announced Sunday to be broadcast on ESPN 2 at 11:00 Saturday.
11/8 platform designations: Iowa at Minnesota 12 ET/11am CT, ESPN2. Wisconsin at Purdue 12 ET/11am CT, ESPNU
— Mark D. Rudner (@BigTenMarkTV) November 2, 2014
Meanwhile 4-5 Michigan and 3-5 Northwestern will play at 2:30 on ABC. D'Okay...
We check in down in Iowa to see what they are saying so far about this game. To no one's surprise, The Des Moines Register says that Iowa's run defense will be key to defeating Minnesota.
Meanwhile, an Illinois Fan is not happy with Gopher fans for saying "The Home of the Gophers" at the end of the national anthem in Champaign a week ago.
Basketball
The Gophers played a super secret scrimmage against Fred Hoiberg's Iowa State team yesterday...and things did not go well for Minnesota.
Told that Iowa State beat Minnesota handily today in secret scrimmage. Bryce Dejean-Jones was best player on court. Had 19 and 9.
— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanESPN) November 2, 2014
#Gophers dominated. ISU wins "secret" scrimmage 103-78. No Walker or Mason. Not sure why on Mason. Morris best Gopher, I'm told. Had 22 pts.
— Darren Wolfson (@DarrenWolfson) November 2, 2014
(con.) Andre 21 pts, 3 TOs & Dre had 11 pts, 5 TOs. Heard he struggled badly. Told Josh Martin looked good. ISU didn't even have full squad.
— Darren Wolfson (@DarrenWolfson) November 2, 2014
Doogie also had a quick injury update:
Mo Walker is a hamstring injury. Should be ok for the Louisville game. TBD on Nate Mason. #gophers
— Darren Wolfson (@DarrenWolfson) November 2, 2014
Speaking of Louisville...here is what they are saying about their upcoming game against the Gophers.
In Gopher Alum news:
Former #Gophers guard Malik Smith was selected by the Iowa Energy in the sixth round of the recent @nbadleague draft.
— Marcus R. Fuller (@GophersNow) November 3, 2014
Congrats to Malik!
Marcus also had some women's basketball tidbits:
Heard #Gophers women basketball team scrimmaged UW Milwaukee today at Williams Arena and scored 96 points.
— Marcus R. Fuller (@GophersNow) November 2, 2014
Word is newcomers Shae Kelley & Carlie Wagner really stood out in the scrimmage. Wagner played well on D. Kelley was leading team in scoring
— Marcus R. Fuller (@GophersNow) November 2, 2014
Hockey
It wasn't a great weekend on the ice for the Gopher Hockey teams. The only win came in the Men's game on Saturday against St. Cloud State in overtime based on Justin Kloos's career day with a hat trick. Jason Gonzalez writes about that in the Star Tribune.
He also has a post-game blog from Saturday that contains an interview with Kloos, and notes about Travis Boyd's lower body injury that it sounds like will keep him out a month.
Even with the split against SCSU, the Gophers remain #1 in the SBN College Hockey Rankings.
Grand Donald has an article in the Minnesota Daily about the awful weekend the Gopher Women's Hockey team had tying and losing to Bemidji State at home.
FREEFLOYD LINKS
A few #freefloyd links to end the nugs with.
