Not much has changed....

Hopefully this is not a familiar sight on Saturday...

As a member of the "working media" we get requests to help out other "media" in their articles and pursuits.  Then sometimes we get to steal their ideas and content for our own gain.  Thus, we bring you the Big Ten Power Poll!

I am a voting member in two power polls this season on other websites.  If you want to compare my votes to other "writers" from around the Big Ten, I'm sure they would love a click as well.  Check out the Rutgers Blog www.SalSoothsayer and another blog covering the whole conference, www.talking10.com.

Here is the poll after week 10:

Big Ten East

1. Michigan State

Bye week.  2 weeks to get ready to host gameday in the battle for the #1 spot here.

2. Ohio State

Illinois is a tough te....oh.  never mind.

3.Maryland

You can't shake hands, but your kicker can hit field goals...so you got that going for you.  Which is nice.

4. Rutgers

That was a ugly loss to Ohio State Nebraska Wisconsin.    But no one else really wants this spot so...

5. Michigan

Fire your AD.  Beat up on the worst team in the Big Ten.  Somehow win two more and go to better bowl game then Gophers??

6. Penn State

At least you are not Indiana

7. Indiana

Crap...you are Indiana.

Big Ten West

1. Nebraska

So much for that whole Purdue Harbor thing.  Bye week before QUADRANGLE OF HATE BEGINS!!!!

2.Wisconsin

The Badgers are heating up at the right time.  Crap. (Repeat) A trip to Purdue shouldn't be interesting, but you never know with this Badger Team.

3. Iowa

That was slightly more impressive then I would have liked to see the week before Floyd.  Maybe they played it all out of them?  Trap game??

4. Minnesota

#FREEFLOYD!!!!

5.Purdue

Nebraska spanked you pretty good...so how bout a bounceback with the harbor firmly back in West Lafayette against the Badgers??

6.Northwestern

The Wildcats lost another rivalry game.  Guess they should just stop playing "rivalry games" huh...

7. Illinois

Well that was a more familiar results for Illinois...

Overall

In case you are a pre-divisions purist, and want to see how teams stack up overall, here is my overall Top 14:

1. Michigan State     NC

2. Ohio State    +1

3. Nebraska  -1

4. Wisconsin  NC

5. Iowa    +1

6. Maryland   -1

7. Minnesota     +1

8. Rutgers  -1

9.  Michigan    +4

10. Penn State    -1

11. Purdue      -1

12. Northwestern     -1

13. Illinois       -1

14. Indiana     NC

Flipped Ohio State and Nebraska again after the Buckeyes just demolished Illinois. The Battle for the top spot this weekend will be intense.  Iowa jumps Maryland after looking impressive.  Michigan may be overvalued, but that was a nice win for them.  Another win over a reeling Northwestern will plan them there firmly.
