Another weaker, home opponent who the Gopher should handle with ease. The interesting connection with the Paladins is the return of head coach Niko Medved to The Barn bench. Niko was a manager under Clem, an assistant under Monson and a St. Paul native. Medved is in his second season at Furman after several as an assistant under Tim Miles at Colorado State.
But this isn't likely to be a warm welcome for Coach Medved. Unfortunately there are very few Minnesota kids on the roster and there will be no "Minnesota-Nice" tonight. Expect another game of pressure defense that will cripple the Paladins, leading to points for the Gophers and a wide margin of victory.
