How he fits:
An absolute mauler with no finesse to his game. Just a big, wide beast that can play anywhere along the line (and pull too), though the staff will start him out at center.
Chances to play in 2014:
Depends on the center position sorts itself out during spring practice and fall camp. Connor is line to compete at center relatively quickly due to his physical nature and size, though how early he plays is based upon the health of Jon Christenson and Brian Bobek. If those two are ready to go, Mayes will redshirt.
