Minnesota Basketball: Big Ten All Conference Selections Announced - Gophers Only Named To Honorable Mention

In news that shouldn't be totally shocking, no Gophers made the First, Second, or Third teams.

Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

THE #TAKES

- Hats Off to Andre Hollins and DeAndre Mathieu! Both are deserving of recognition. I just wish the year had gone differently and they'd had the chance to be higher up the list.

- Overall though, the results are not terribly surprising. You finish like the Gophers did and you have to have an pretty incredible stat-line to jump off the Honorable Mention list (see: Mbakwe, Trevor).

- A.J. Hammons on all defensive? I didn't watch much Purdue, but when he played MN the guy never impressed me. I mean, he impressed upon me that he should have done a lot more. He didn't make me think he was all B1G defensive. I'm sure there are stats that justify it but I'm enjoying a beer on my deck and can't be bothered to look. #TAKES

- Go away Nick Stauskas, no one likes you or your quality level of play.

- The media has a hard on for Aaron Craft.

- The media should be ashamed for recognizing a whiny cake eating flopper like Will Sheehey. Just saying...

- As my Madison Gopher buddy said yesterday night, Nigel Hayes is going to be a pain in the ass.

- Tim Miles, you're not getting the concept that Nebrasketball isn't supposed to be good. Time to get with the program and go coach elsewhere so I can like you without worrying about your team causing trouble in the standings.

- The way Sam Dekker's last name is spelled annoys me. I blame Bo Ryan.
