Gopher baseball has been scuffling through the Big Ten this year. Things seemed to come together this past weekend as the Gophers swept Penn State with brilliant pitching and enough hitting. The three-game sweep brings the Gopher record up to 9-9 in the Big Ten and has them tied with Michigan for 5th in the standings.
This past weekend was really all about the pitching.

Neil Kunik made just his 2nd start of the season and his 9 K effort through 7 innings earned him co-Big Ten pitcher of the week honors.
The sweep of Penn State was nice, but up next the Gophers have an intriguing trip to Tallahassee where they will face the #5 ranked Florida State Seminoles.
