Set your DVR's.

Mike Stobe

Feel like watching some Gopher moments of the past? Big Ten Network has you covered for some of the better ones as well as some of the more puzzling, as this Wednesday (7/16) is Minnesota Day on BTN. Here's a quick rundown of what Gopher content you'll be able to find (all times CST):

5AM: B1G Greatest Games: Football - Purdue at Minnesota (1995)

With less than two minutes to go, Minnesota quarterback Cory Sauter scored on a one-yard run and then completed a pass to Ryan Thelwell for the two-point conversion, as Minnesota rallied to defeat Purdue. The Golden Gophers had trailed 17-7 at halftime.

7AM: B1G Greatest Games: Basketball - Indiana at Minnesota (2/9/00)

Sophomore Joe Przybilla stepped in and scored a career-high 33 points, including the game winner with only four seconds left, leading Minnesota to a 77-75 victory.

9AM: B1G Elite: Minnesota Hockey - 1979

Led by legendary Head Coach Herb Brooks the 1979 Golden Gophers skated to a 3rd National title in a 6-year span. Extended interviews with future 1980 US Olympic Team members; Neal Broten, Mike Ramsey, Steve Janaszak, Rob McClanahan, & Bill Baker.

10AM: B1G Greatest Games: Football - Illinois at Minnesota (1996)

Illinois running back Robert Holcombe set an Illinois record by rushing 43 times for 315 yards. This great performance wasn't enough as the Gophers' Cory Sauter capped a six-play, 80-yard march with a quarterback sneak for the go-ahead score with 46 seconds left, giving Minnesota a 23-21 win.

12PM: B1G Greatest Games: Football - Minnesota vs. Arkansas - 2002 Music City Bowl

Dan Nystrom tied an NCAA record by kicking five field goals as Minnesota upset Arkansas 29-14 for the Golden Gophers' first bowl victory since 1985.

2PM: B1G Softball: B1G Championship - Michigan vs. Minnesota

4PM: B1G Greatest Games: Football - Purdue at Minnesota (2005)

Minnesota upset #11 Purdue in a double overtime clash largely thanks to Laurence Maroney's career-high 217 yards rushing on an astounding 46 carries. This marked the first victory for the Gophers against the Boilermakers in seven seasons.

6PM: B1G Classic: 2014 NIT Championship - SMU vs. Minnesota

7:30PM: 1996 Illinois at Minnesota (again)

9:30PM: B1G Greatest Games: Basketball - Minnesota at Wisconsin (1/15/09)

Lawrence Westbrook hit a game-tying 3-pointer with 2 seconds left in regulation, and then went on to score 9 points in overtime to lift Minnesota over Wisconsin on the road.

Thoughts On The Lineup

- I have no idea why a win over Illinois during a 2-9 4-7 Wacker season is a Greatest Game. I certainly don't get why you'd show it TWICE.

- If I'm remembering right, the Indiana game was the one that Pryz quit after to run off to the NBA. So...yea, BTN is trolling us I think.

- My DVR will catch the 1979 Hockey Team piece, the 2002 Music City Bowl, and the '09 Westbrook dagger game.
