Sorry for the late day nugs everyone, but I just got off a plane from a business trip for Job A to Southwest Kansas and the Oklahoma Panhandle. Yeah. So I'm just catching up myself, so here are a few of the major news stories from today.
First with Football:
Jerry Kill had his radio show today, and apparently we have a lot more injuries then we even knew. According to Marcus Fuller and a blog on the Pioneer Press website, Kill said that Maxx Williams, Zac Epping, and KJ Maye are all questionable for Saturday's game against San Jose State. Kill also said that receiver Logan Hutton is out for the game. Epping has started 37 consecutive games has a high ankle sprain, not good for an offensive lineman.
Of course, the status of Mitch Leidner is also a question mark at this time. As Joe Christensen with the Star Tribune points out, Leidner did not look mobile at practice on Wednesday casting doubt on his status for Saturday. One piece of good news is that David Cobb is back healthy, and will play on Saturday. Unfortunately Alex Keith is not ready to come back yet, so he will miss his third straight game.
Christensen also has an article on the added pressure the Gophers D-line will need to put on SJSU quarterback Blake Jurich this weekend.
Just for GopherNation, gophersports.com profiles the game four years ago today where Adam Weber broke the Gopher's career touchdown pass record.
On to Hoops..

And finally....
Do you like football and futbol? The Gophers are hoping so. If you have a ticket to the San Jose State Football game on Saturday, you can bring your ticket stub to the Gopher Women's soccer game that night at 7:00 against Iowa at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium on the St. Paul Campus and get in for free! Sounds like a great deal especially for those who tailgate in the State Fair Lot!
Your Saturday @GopherFootball ticket will also get you into the soccer game vs. Iowa. Kick off at 7 pm. #PackELR pic.twitter.com/bKpsxJC2qX
