Minnesota vs. San Jose State: Week 4 Predictions Review

Let's take a look at what I got right and what I got wrong. Also, were my my hopes realized?

Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

So I guess I erred when I didn't post my prediction that we'd win despite only completing 1 pass. I'm such an idiot. Should have put that up. Because I was totally thinking that on Friday. Seriously. Trust me.

Predictions

PREDICTION: Gophers rush for 300 yards.

I AM ON A ROLL! TIME TO GO FOR THE TRIFECTA!

About that...

Hopes

HOPE: Ryan Santoso gets his first FG and all of his kicks are touchbacks.

REALITY: I got the field goal part right. Not so much on the touchbacks (though when he did kick it deep it was out of the endzone deep).

HOPE: Donovahn Jones gets to touch the ball.

REALITY: Oh come on. I'll say it again. Limey, seriously man?

HOPE: NO ONE GETS HURT.

REALITY: Well ok then. Bout time.

HOPE: No Minnesota turnovers.

REALITY: One day. One day.

HOPE: We see something in the offensive playcalling that suggests the coaches are willing to go after the edge.

REALITY: Well, we went there. Not through the means I hoped and possibly because the opposing DE's were horrid, but we went there.

HOPE: The Big Ten burns again.

REALITY: The exact opposite. Except for Michigan. And frankly, that's more than enough BURN BURN BURN for all of us. Also, kind of nice to see Indiana get a nice win for once.
