Big Ten Football Power Poll--Week Eight

New, 2 comments

Pretty boring week...

Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

As a member of the "working media" we get requests to help out other "media" in their articles and pursuits.  Then sometimes we get to steal their ideas and content for our own gain.  Thus, we bring you the Big Ten Power Poll!

I am a voting member in two power polls this season on other websites.  If you want to compare my votes to other "writers" from around the Big Ten, I'm sure they would love a click as well.  Check out the Rutgers Blog www.SalSoothsayer and another blog covering the whole conference, www.talking10.com With out any further delay, I bring you the Week 8 Version, of the Big Ten Power Poll.

If you want to skip reading...you can now.  The top pretty much stayed the top with a little movement at the bottom. It was a boring week this week....so yeah read some of our other Kill pieces...much more interesting.

Big Ten East

1. Ohio State (Previously #1)

Rutgers dead. Bye this week.  Still #1

2. Michigan State (Previously #2)

Indiana made it interesting for 53 minutes.  Problem is they play 60.  Bye this week.  Still #2

3. Michigan (Previously #3)

Bye last week.  Jug this week.

4. Penn State (Previously #4)

barely beat Maryland, but going bowling again.  Illinois this weekend may be interesting.

5. Rutgers (Previous #5)

Meh...enjoy losing to Bucky

6. Indiana (Previously #6)

Way to crap the bed.  Enjoy bye week.

7. Maryland (previous #7)

If you can't beat a weak Penn State team....Iowa should do dirty nasty things to you.

Big Ten West

1. Iowa (Previously #1)

Bye.  Maryland this week.  Still #1

2. Wisconsin (Previously #2)

Good win at  Illinois.  Defense still good.  Rutgers coming in to get spanked again.

3.Northwestern (Previously #3)

Big win for the Cats.  pretty much locks up the #3 spot for a VERY long time. Good bye week

4. Nebraska (Previously #4)

Nebraska needed that win Saturday. Didn't get it.  Enjoy mediocrity. Just don't lose at Purdue.

5. Illinois (Previously #5)

Illinois played Wisconsin tough...but not tough enough.  Another winnable game at PSU

6. Minnesota (previously #6)

Bye.  use all the emotion of this week and please try and win the Jug....

7. Purdue (previously #7)

Bye.....loseto Nebraska and Hazell goes bye-bye?

In case you are a pre-divisions purist, and want to see how teams stack up overall, here is my overall Top 14:
