TDG Poem: "Bacon"

New, 1 comment

Please join me for a little slice of bacon!

Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

Borders touch on faulty lines

The smell of rural meets oil of the metro

Prairie flows till the road splits

No love between, only hate filled hearts

Crave for the bacon of Floyd

They turn craze to hear the splattering of grease

Fry the skillet, bake the loaf

Let men dine with savages

Hunger, hunger for the crispy flesh

Rivals cannot obey the civilized rules

Merely do they wonder about the gain

Prestige at the table strengthens

Mighty hawk fly above a war hero memorial

Gawking, squawking for the mantle

We hung 55, they sink to 5

The victor hails Floyd
