Minnesota plays Nebraska-Omaha today at the Barn. The Gophers have not played since losing to Texas Tech in Puerto Rico. This should be a comfortable win, but the early season has not given any indications that the Gophers plan on playing any game comfortably.

Keys to a Gopher Win

Control Tempo - Nebraska-Omaha likes to push tempo. Minnesota is more talented than the Mavericks, but a fast paced game is a recipe for fouling. Minnesota needs to be able to keep the game at a comfortable pace to avoid potential runs by the Mavericks.

Box Out -The Mavericks are not a good offensive rebounding team, but so far this season the Gophers have made every team look good on the offensive glass. Minnesota will have to control the defensive glass to avoid giving the Mavericks multiple shot opportunities.

Shooting Well -The Gophers will take a lot of 3-point shots. Most of them will be open. If Minnesota can make these shots, this will be a rout. If they cannot, then the game will be much too close for comfort.
