Every week during the NFL Season we will recap how the former Gopher football players who are now in the NFL did each week for their respective teams. Herei s how our former Gophers did in Week 8.
Eric Decker- Wide Receiver New York Jets
Week 6 Opponent: Oakland Raiders
Decker r\had another typical game with 6 catches for 60 yards and a touchdown in the loss to Oakland.
Week 7 Opponent: Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jets will hopefully play better against the Jags then they did against Oakland.
Ra'Shede Hageman- Defensive Tackle Atlanta Falcons
Week 6 Opponent: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Hageman had four tackles including three solo in the OT loss to Tampa.
Week 7 Opponent: San Francisco 49ers
The Falcons head out to Santa Clara for a date with the niners.
Marcus Sherels- Cornerback/ Punt Returner Minnesota Vikings
Week 6 Opponent: Chicago Bears
Sherels had his best game of the season with a tackle on defense, one kick return for 12 yards, and 3 punt returns for 77 yards including a 65 yard return for a touchdown!
Week 7 Opponent: St. Louis Rams
The Vikings host St. Louis in a game with playoff implications.
Matt Spaeth- Tight End Pittsburgh Steelers
Week 6 Opponent: Cincinnati Bengals
HE"S ON THE BOARD!! Spaeth recorded his first catch of the season for 4 yards in the loss to the Bengals.
Week 7 Opponent: Oakland Raiders
The Steelers host Oakland in a big game.
Tramaine Brock- Cornerback San Francisco 49ers
Week 6 Opponent: St. Louis Rams
Brock had three tackles and a pass defense in a loss to St. Louis
Week 7 Opponent: Atlanta Falcons
The 49ers host Atlanta on Sunday.
Maxx Williams - Tight End Baltimore Ravens
Week 6 Opponent: San Diego Chargers
Maxx did not record any stats in the Ravens game against the Chargers.
Week 7 Opponent: BYE
The Ravens get a much needed bye week.
Damien Wilson- Linebacker Dallas Cowboys
Week 6 Opponent: Seattle Seahwaks
Wilson did not record any stats in the loss to Seattle.
