Minnesota vs. Ohio State Recap: Who Cares It's Officially #HATEWEEK

Strolling Through Twitterland: Week 10

Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

I think it is fair to say most of us didn't have high expectations going into the Ohio State game. OSU are the defending National Champions, it feels like they've never lost a B1G game, the Gophers were 23 point dawgs and the game was being played at the Shoe. The odds were certainly stacked against the Gophers. With everything that has gone on with the Gophers the past two weeks, my fear was it would be too much and they would get embarrassed. However the Gophers hung tough and fought until the end.

One of the things I came to respect from Jerry Kill lead teams is they would fight until the end. No matter how over matched they may have been, they were never afraid to stick their nose in there and make it tough for the other team. I have now seen that same attitude since Claeys has taken over for Kill. It would have been real easy for the team pack it in when it got to 21-0, but they kept plugging away and made OSU earn the victory. Some could even make the argument it should have been 14-14, not 21-14. I wouldn't argue with you if that was your stance. If you want to call it a "moral victory", call it a "moral victory". However, a loss is a loss is a loss. But that doesn't take away from the fact we saw some good things in this game they can continue to build off of. Despite everything that has happened this year, I still feel like the Gophers are really close. The future is still bright.

I don't know about you, but I'm already over the OSU loss. It's now officially #HATEWEEK and I cannot wait for the Gophers to ruin Stupid Iowa's "Special Season". I fully expect Floyd to stay home in Minneapolis where he belongs. #HATE #HATE #HATE and screw you Iowa and your "special season".

Onto this week's Stroll Through Twitterland. The top hashtags for this week were:

The prediction may not have come true @tundragopher but this picture was too awesome not to share.

I'm going to dive into the targeting call/non-call with some reactions but I had to post this one first. I just give up. I don't know what else to say except 10 catches 116 yards.

Ok, here's a mixture of reactions from the targeting call/non-call.

Last but certainly not least, I couldn't help but laugh at this.

What were your favorite tweets this week? Did you think it was targeting? Do you think OSU got away with some home town calls last night? Have you moved past the game and onto #HATEWEEK yet? Oh and screw you Iowa and your "special season".
