Gopher Basketball, The NIT Bubble and NIT Selection Show

The Gophers fell to Ohio State in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament and now sit squarely on the bubble.  The NIT bubble that is.  After winning the NIT last season, bringing back four starters and a large recruiting class; the Gophers have taken a step back and are squarely on the NIT bubble.

Are we going to be in?  Different projections have us all over the place.

BracketMatrix has us in and a 3-seed. (updated prior to Rutgers win)

Dratings.com uses stats to determine that we are out.

NYCBuckets puts us against Pitt as a 5-seed.

I am of the opinion that we will be selected to participate in the NIT.  Are we happy about it?  Not really but this is the spot the Gophers have put themselves.  Nothing left but to embrace the extra games, enjoy the tournament format and have fun watching them play for a few more games.  It comes to this.
