Amanda Zahui B. was named the media's Big Ten Player of the Year today. Zahui B. is the first Gopher to win the award since Lindsay Whalen in 2002. Zahui B. lead the Big Ten in rebounds and blocks per game. She averaged 18 points per game and at least three "Wow that was awesome" moments. Her best performance of the year was the 39 points and 29 rebounds performance, the latter of which is a Big Ten record.

Fantastically, Zahui B. is just a sophomore, and will certainly be back next year.

Below is an interview with Zahui on the award

Shae Kelley was also named First Team All Big Ten by the coaches. Carlie Wagner was named to the All Freshmen Team.
