The unofficial start to the 2015 season has commenced for the Golden Gophers. Spring Practice begins today! So that means there should be plenty of Gopher Football content from all around the local interwebz. Let's get to it with a quick Tuesday Nugz.
- Maybe the biggest question facing the team heading into 2015 is who will replace David Cobb? Maxx Williams leaves a big hole as well, but considering this is a run first (and second and third) team, replacing Cobb is going to be a major question.
- Joe Christenson asks a few more questions facing this squad. Amazingly they are very similar questions to the ones I asked last week.
- Pioneer Press looks at some wide open competition at Spring Practice as well.
- ESPN's B1G blog has a Gopher FB Spring Preview.
- Briean Boddy-Calhoun was interviewed by GopherSports.com. This is pretty good.
- Jordan Leopold is coming back to Minnesota. The former Gopher was traded to the Wild, supposedly in part because of this daughter's letter. Cute.
- Amelia has a blog entry on Charles Buggs and what more Pitino is looking to get from him.
- In case you missed this you should read this profile on incoming Gopher guard, Jarvis Johnson.
- In football recruiting news, Eden Prairie linebacker Carter Coughlin is planning to make his decision ($) in the next week. Coughlin's father played for the Gophers and he is deciding from Ohio State, Oregon and Minnesota. No ceremony planned, just a quick Twitter announcement and Coughlin will then focus on his senior season of football.
