Its hard to believe as football is just about to get started, but both the Gophers Mens and Women's Hockey Teams are putting their Pick Your Pack tickets on sale this Wednesday. The Gopher Women will look to defend their national title and go for their fourth in five years, while the Gopher Men will try and make it three Big Ten Titles in a row.
If you have a Gopher score however, you can take advantage a day earlier by buying your tickets today beginning at 9 am.
For the women, Pick Your Pack ticket packages include three games. Fans have the opportunity to select one game from three predetermined groups to create their own three-pack of tickets. Pricing for the Pick Your Pack tickets is $20 for reserved chairback seats, $15 for adult general admission, and $10 for students, youth, and senior general admission.
Group 1 includes the games against UMD, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. Group two consists of the games against in-state rivals St. Cloud State, MSU-Mankato, and Bemidji State. Group three consists games of Yale and Ohio State.
For the men, Pick Your Pack ticket packages include four games. Fans will choose one game from group one, two games from group two, and one game from group three. The men's games are a bit more expensive with four-packs beginning at $180.
Group 1 for the men include games against the former WCHA rivals including Wisconsin, St. Cloud State, UMD, and MSU-Mankato. Group two includes the Hall of Fame game against Vermont, the non-conference series against Northeastern, and Big Ten games against Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State. Group three games include the Mariucci Classic games, and Big Ten games against Penn State.
Pick Your Pack tickets for the men, and both Pick Your Pack and single-game tickets for the women can be purchased online at MyGopherSports.com, over the phone at 1-800-U-Gopher, and by visiting the University of Minnesota Ticket Office at Mariucci Arena.
The Gopher women will kick off their season October 1 at Penn State, and will raise their national championship banner at home on October 9th against St. Cloud State, while the Gopher Men will begin their season at home in the US Hockey Hall of Fame Game against Vermont at Mariucci on October 10th.
