Welcome to week two! As I type this, Chuckie Keeton and Utah State are playing the University of Utah. Late Friday night college football is fun football you guys! Also, this happened in the Miami/FAU game:
Another look at FAU's use of the TE "fall down" play to get the TD: #MIAvsFAU https://t.co/3nMnwZHOaE— RedditCFB (@RedditCFB) September 12, 2015
Oh, and this:
Miami is gifted a muffed punt inside the red zone, can’t get the touchdown, shanks the FG. FAU is aliiiiiiiiiiive.— SB✯Nation CFB (@SBNationCFB) September 12, 2015
By the time you read this it will officially be the second college football Saturday of the season. So let's talk about that.
The Best of Saturday
The cream of this crop of Saturday games is easy to select:
Oklahoma at Tennessee, 5pm CT on ESPN
Oregon at Michigan State, 7pm CT on ABC
LSU at Mississippi State, 8:15pm CT on ESPN
The Second Tier
You probably want to check these games out at some point. I'll explain why for each one.
Oregon State at Michigan, 11am CT on ABC: Could the Khaki Komander lose his second straight to a Pac-12 squad?
Buffalo at Penn State, 11am CT on ESPN2/ESPNU: Do it. Lose to Buffalo. I dare you Penn State. Just see what happens then.
Hawaii at Ohio State, 2:30pm CT on BTN: Because Hawaii is waering these:
More proof that Under Armour is better than Adidas. Also, I want those gloves.
Temple at Cincinnati, 7pm CT on ESPN News: I like Cincy and Temple looked pretty good last week.
Iowa State at Iowa, 3:30pm on FOX: Confused? Here's a sample of the official SB Nation ¡El Assico! primer (full primer here):
¡El Assico! brings out the worst in both teams. They fumble. They punt. They punt some more. They play down to each other, or under each other, and sometimes rent heavy equipment and begin tunneling under the very surface of the earth to submarine even your lowest expectations. They do not score.
¡El Assico! hears your order for a steak, and returns to the table holding a charred hamburger patty. You ordered this steak medium-rare, btw. ¡El Assico! is so bad at this and refuses to buy a meat thermometer or apologize.
God bless you Iowa. Your state sure knows how to turn out some very bad football.
Full Saturday Schedule
All times are still in ET because no I will not change them all at 11pm at night.
