Time and time again, the Gopher offense handed the ball back over to the Horned Frog offense. Aside from a tough stretch in the first quarter, the Gopher defense was able to answer the call. Their goal line stand near the end of the first half was especially impressive.
Turnovers continued to plague the Gophers on offense, with a Mitch Leidner fumble setting up a Trevone Boykin touchdown pass to Josh Doctson a few plays later in the first quarter and a demoralizing Rodrick Williams fumble into the end zone in the second quarter killing their best offensive drive of the night. It is clear that the Gophers miss David Cobb and Maxx Williams. We'll see if anyone steps up in the second half on offense. The Gophers desperately need it.
Minnesota trails TCU 10-3 at the half. Thank you, Ryan Santoso. The Horned Frogs will be on offense to start the second half.
