Gophers are hosting Northwestern who started the season with a lot of wins, albeit against a pretty weak schedule...but who are we to talk about weak least they beat them. This is a big game for Northwestern, not in terms of winning the Big Ten but rather as a team trying to make their first NCAA Tournament in the program's history, this would be a bad loss on their resume.

Keys to a Gopher Win

Maroon_key_mediumDefend the Three - Lots of good shooters for the Wildcats and if they get going, it will be a very long afternoon for the Gophers. HAVE to get to shooter and make them put it on the floor (then we hope our bigs don't get in foul trouble).

Maroon_key_medium Want This! Play With Passion - Time to put on your big-boy pants, play with some desire. It is more than just playing with emotions, it really means that you have the discipline to do things the right way on every possession (or at least at a higher rate than previously). Play with some passion, have some fun and do it while executing. Easy right?

I strangely have a good feeling about this game. I think Pitino and his boys get their first Big Ten win of the season.
