3 Keys, 2 Players to Watch, 1 Prediction
Now Put it All Together - All three phases need to play well today. It was a good effort at Nebraska in all phases but not quite enough. It is week 11 and time to put it all together.
Seniors Making Plays - How about some bit plays from the seniors today. I'm looking towards the guys in the secondary, Leidner and Wolitarski. I want a those guys in the secondary to make a pick or two. I want a Wolitarski touchdown. Some inspired senior play to carry this team to a win in their last home game.
Stop the Run - Justin Jackson is a stud. To be honest I'm not terribly concerned about this, but it's worth noting. I think we can stop the run and force them to pass on this frigit and windy day. That'll go a long way towards securing a win today.
OPPOSING PLAYERS TO WATCH
- #18 - QB - Clayton Thorson - I think we'll be OK against the run, but Thorson and his ability to run and pass make me nervous.
- #7 - DE - Ifeadi Odenigbo - listed as second team DE on the depth chart but is tied for first in the Big Ten in sacks. Must keep him off Mitch.
I'm feeling strangely good about this game. Don't ask me why, but I do. I think the weather factors in our favor and we win today.
Minnesota - 20
Northwestern - 13
