Hey everybody,
I want to take a second to note that Minnesota won four conference games in a row for the second time in 43 years.
Once again, for the second time in 43 years Minnesota has won four conference games in a row.
This schedule may be much easier compared to past years, but it's not the easiest schedule the team has played over that stretch. For that matter, it’s not even the easiest schedule the team had since 2000. It just so happened that the Gophers were terrible most of the time since 1973.
We can make lots of different excuses for why that's not good enough this year, particularly if the team finishes 0-3 to end the season. I'd argue most, if not all, of those excuses are silly. Four conference wins in a row is a step up for this program, and something that should be acknowledged.
Dare to dream, but Minnesota hasn’t won five conference games in a row since the 1960s. Hopefully after next week, that streak will also be over.
