In an announcement that really shouldn't be a surprise, Kevin Dorsey, Dupree McBrayer and Nate Mason are all expected to be back next season following their season-ending suspension for a rogue tweet that involved a sexual video was posted.
Pitino first told CBSSports.com the news Tuesday morning. It was confirmed by the Gophers that the three players are coming back for the 2016-17 season. Mason, Dorsey and McBrayer were suspended for the last four games of the season after a sexually explicit video was posted on Dorsey's social media accounts Feb. 26.
I had no qualms with the suspension but as details came forth in this incident, I am very pleased that no further action is going to take place. These three students were involved in an embarrassing incident but not a career ending type of infraction. Hopefully they learn a little something as they continue to mature and it is time to move on and look forward to a much better season ahead of us.
