Minnesota Football: Gophers Add Walk-on Transfer at Safety

Gopher Football received a late transfer in safety, Troy Dipre.  He is coming to the Golden Gophers from Kent State, will likely sit out this season and then have three years of eligibility remaining.

Prayed hard and I am very grateful to continue my athletic and academic career at University of Minnesota. Can't wait to get to work.

Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 195 lbs.

Out of high school, Dipre was a 2-star linebacker with offers from other MAC schools and Air Force.

Thoughts

A walk-on coming to us from a MAC school.  Dipre visited this past weekend, took in the Spring Game and decided this would be a good spot for him to land.  This is a low-risk addition to the program and he may end up being a kid who contributes.
