That didn't take long! De'Vondre Campbell is officially the second Minnesota Gopher to be taken in the 2016 NFL Draft. The Atlanta Falcons used the 115th pick of the 4th round to select the athletic linebacker. De'Vondre joins fellow Gopher Ra'Shede Hageman as a member of the Falcons defense.

The 6'4" and 232 lb Campbell may be the Gopher with the most NFL potential. De'Vondre has the athleticism and size to make it in the NFL, and his continued improvement while at Minnesota certainly indicates that he hasn't reached his full potential yet. An All-B1G Honorable Mention, Campbell was 3rd on the team in tackles with 92, led the team with 4 sacks, and had an interception.

Getting to know De'Vondre Campbell

The first thing you notice about De'Vondre is his speed (he was the 3rd fastest LB at the NFL Combine). That quickness and his prototypical size bode well for him at the next level. That said, he needs to improve his coverage skills and play-reading to reach his full potential and solidify a long term roster spot. Minnesota fans are looking forward to Campbell continuing to grow in the NFL!
