Yelp Review:

I love this place, every time. It's cash only, so be prepared.

They have a Somali-inspired burger with peppers that is incredibly good. Enough heat to counter the MN winter outside.

The hand-cut fries are wonderful, slightly spiced, piping hot. Unlimited soda refills are always a nice touch.

The dogs are awesome. I have yet to try a tofu dog, I'll get on that. I'm sad they aren't open later as well, but Pat has three kids under 10 years old, so he has to be home in the evenings by bedtime. I think that's a great reason for an early closing time.

Go, eat, and be happy.

Wienery

Because, WIENERY.

Nice hole in the wall on the West Bank. Great selection of dogs in many styles and flavors. Never had their breakfast myself but hear it’s solid.
Gotta love the "was in jail" bracelets post drunk tank on the walls (with pics if I recall?).
Don’t come too early on Saturday as their hours listed on the website are "10-ish-8pm…"

Yelp Review:

Not a place you should take for granted. This is a restaurant where recipes originated in old Italy and carried by the Vescio family here to the US.   Now in its  fourth generation in Dinkytown, MANY of their dishes are made from homemade recipes proven over nearly 75 years.  Their pizza crusts are amazing and you'll have trouble finding anything like them anywhere.  I've been told General Mills tried to buy the recipe once but the family wouldn't give it up.  The Ravioli are hand made, the meatballs melt in your mouth, the sausage for the pizzas and the pasta dishes is perfectly  flavored and the home made creamy Italian dressing is unlike any other you will ever have.  Whether you go to school here at the U of M, just happen to live in the area or are visiting...you haven't had a true Dinkytown experience without stopping here.
