Minnesota Football: 50 Days Till Gophers Kick Off vs. Oregon State

Just 50 days till football.  That's just 7 weeks from tomorrow! Seems like a long ways off but football will be here so very soon!

#50 for your Golden Gophers is Jack Lynn, the senior linebacker from Lake Zurich, IL who is expected to be one of the leaders on the defense this coming season.

In high school Lynn was a 4-year starter on a team that went to the 7A state semi-finals three times, once making it to the title game. As a senior he was an All-State selection by both the Chicago Tribune and the Champaign News-Gazette.

As a Gopher he has started 17 games over the last two seasons.  He got better as the season went along last year and had an outstanding game at Ohio State with 7 tackles, 2.5 TFLs and a forced fumble as the Gophers nearly pulled of a remarkable upset over the Buckeyes.

Lynn has been named a 2016 captain.  He's one of my favorite Gophers on the defense and I'm really expecting a big season out of Lynn.  He's #50, there are 50 days till Gopher Football and I couldn't be more excited!
