The former Gopher standout set a record last night, becoming the first player in WNBA history to score 5,000 points, have 2,000 assists and collect 1,500 rebounds. She is currently 15th in WNBA history with 5,008 points for her career and 3rd in all time assists with 2,100.
Whalen has been in the league for 13 season, the last 7 with the Minnesota Lynx. She is a five time All-Star and has won 3 WNBA titles with Minnesota. The Hutchinson, MN native is currently averaging 8.8 points, 3.6 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game.
Lindsay is one of the greatest Gophers to ever play at the University of Minnesota and we look forward to celebrating her success even more in the coming years.
