Yesterday on Coach Claeys' initial Facebook live show, Coach revealed that Mike Sherels is home from the hospital and recovering. That is outstanding news. He apparently has a ways to go before getting back fully on his feet, but being home is very encouraging.
Also worth noting that today is supposedly the day that the Gophers release their initial depth chart!
- Tom Dienhart was at Saturday's Gopher practice/scrimmage and came away with 5 things. He likes the offensive line, that's really good to hear cause it is huge that we get better line play.
- This is a few weeks old but could the Gophers be the 2016 version of Iowa 2015? 12-0 (or close to it) would be pretty fun, but can that be the only thing that compares us to the Hawkeyes?
- Did you know that Kurt Warner and Jay Johnson have history? Turns out Warner has a son who is borderline a D1 scholarship WR and reached out to coach Johnson for some advice. Interesting story.
- Local paper story on Gopher linebacker, Brian Cashman.
- Pioneer Press story on competition at corner.
