Minnesota vs. Penn State Odds, Betting Line, Vegas

The Gophers are slight road dogs as they open the Big Ten season.

If this game was at home I’d predict a Minnesota win. As is stands, I won’t be shocked or surprised if the Gophers beat Penn State on the road, but the fact that it’s on the road is enough for me to predict a loss and prepare for it. The Vegas line seems to be in keeping with my thinking.

Minnesota opened as 5 point underdogs to Penn State yesterday and line the line has move to -3 for most betting sites. Since the home team tends to get a 2-3 point bump you could argue the line is essentially even, but that would ignore that the Gophers are on the road in a place that is tougher to win at than Purdue.

This will be an interesting game and a good opportunity to get a jump start on a #specialseason of their own.
