The Minnesota Golden Gophers will have a primetime showdown with the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday, Oct. 14, at TCF Bank Stadium. The kickoff has been announced for 7 p.m. CST and the game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

When I think of a night game against Michigan State, I can’t help but think back to that wild Halloween game back in 2009. The Gophers prevailed 42-34 in a back-and-forth affair that remains one of the few bright spots from the Tim Brewster era.
