It was never close as the Badgers defense thoroughly dominated a Gophers offense that was incapable of moving the ball. Wisconsin won today’s battle for the Axe 31-0 and finished their undefeated regular season. Up next for the Badgers is a trip to Indianapolis to face Ohio State and an outside chance to get themselves into the College Football Playoff.
Quick Thoughts
- At the half, the Minnesota offense had managed just 46 total yards of offense. This compared to 262 by the Badgers. They were rather fortunate that the score was only 17-0.
- After going 2/11 passing last week at Northwestern, Demry Croft followed that performance up with a 3/9 day today.
- No real bright spots today, not much to talk about other than the offseason and looking ahead to next year.
- Hat’s off to the seniors and the types of twists and turns they’ve had to deal with over their 4/5 years in the program.
Up Next
The offseason. In two weeks the staff will be hosting a massive official visit weekend with all of their verbal commitments along with a few key remaining targets.
