Scouting Report

Reigelsperger has all of the tools to succeed at defensive end for the Gophers. He will need to add weight and strength to hold up against the run at the college level, but he already has the height, length, speed and motor to be an effective pass rusher and make plays from the backside. He is a heads up player who puts himself in good position and plays to the whistle.

Potential Impact

Reigelsperger plans to enroll in the spring. The Gophers need size and strength at defensive end, as converted linebacker Carter Coughlin struggled against the run in a hybrid rush end role this season. Reigelsperger doesn’t necessarily fill that specific need, but he will certainly have an opportunity to make an impression in a position group that will boast just three upperclassmen, one sophomore, and six redshirt or true freshmen in fall camp.
