He has good size and speed, but isn’t a burner with break away speed. Williams does have good vision and the ability to break tackles and make defenders miss, similar to former Gopher running back David Cobb.

Potential Impact

With the Gophers loaded at the running back position, and seniors Rodney Smith and Shannon Brooks firmly entrenched as starters, I would be surprised if Williams sees the field this fall. Expect him to redshirt.
