Scouting Report

Edmonds is a power back who does not shy away from contact and likes to punish defenders running between the tackles. He has good vision and bursts through the hole when the running lane opens up, but is more of a north-and-south runner than an elusive back. Edmonds is your prototypical three-down Big Ten back, with the build and toughness to handle 20+ carries per game. He has also shown soft hands and some pass-catching abilities out of the backfield.

Potential Impact

With the Gophers loaded at the running back position, and seniors Rodney Smith and Shannon Brooks firmly entrenched as starters, I would be surprised if Edmonds sees the field this fall. Expect him to redshirt.
