Scouting Report

As an outside linebacker, Sori-Marin has the speed and athleticism to play from sideline to sideline and drop back into coverage. He isn’t quite where he needs to be when it comes to diagnosing the play, but when he figures out where the ball is going, he has the closing speed to make up for it. Sori-Marin also missed time during his sophomore and junior seasons due to injury, so his game action has been limited in his high school career.

Potential Impact

The Gophers are loaded at linebacker with seniors Blake Cashman and Julian Huff and sophomores Thomas Barber, Carter Coughlin, and Kamal Martin, so I expect to see Sori-Marin redshirt this fall as he continues to develop.
