Scouting Report

From 247 Sports:

Dunlap is a massive presence that's mobile and athletic for a player of his stature. He does a nice job of engulfing and bulldozing his opponent in the run game, but can continue to strengthen up his frame and play with better body control and balance moving forward. Dunlap is an intelligent kid with a high football IQ, and projects best at guard long-term.

Potential Impact

As the highest-rated offensive line prospect to sign with the Gophers in the internet recruiting era, Dunlap will arrive on campus with high expectations. Redshirt sophomore Conner Olson has likely secured the starting left guard spot for next season, but the opening at right guard is up for grabs. Rumor has it that redshirt freshman Blaise Andries is being eyed for offensive guard, so it could be Dunlap and Andries competing in the spring and fall with redshirt juniors Quinn Oseland and Bronson Dovich for the starting right guard position.
